Streets with no name.

I was walking about Seville this morning and was mentally analysing the fashion sense in Spain. I got particularly appealed to this gang that was crowding around behind the Mcdonalds. The girls were acting like superheroes, they were the centre of attention-the guys were as genuienly attracted to the girls bare skin as i was to their attitude and style. They were respected amongst their gang, admired on the streets, and idolized by fashionistas! Is this seasons all about the badgirl "look"? This being both attitude, style and accesories (aka men and bikes)

Black, leather, studs, heels, metal accesories and bikes- this is what the biker girl is made of! (Plus the attitude!)

So this season, unleash your dark, wild, bitchy side and become a bad girl/biker girl for the season!

For all you urban ladies: the Dunks.

This is a little shout out for the ladies who are beautiful eventhough they dismiss make up, high heels and chic dresses. This if for those who like to feel glamorous in their own urban way. I have to admit the main appeal to these Nike dunks are the fact that they feel so unique! You can find over ten colours on each pair of dunks, whilst feeling comfortable and trendy...
My personal favourite, Nike Women Air Force (in lime green, red and purple)
Nike Red Current
For the ones who dare, Nike Rainbow

Bang Bang Bang

Bangles, bangles, bangles! Oh, the joy! Where to begin?

I personally find that bangles will always make your outfit stand out that little more. 'Little' not being the essential word. In bangle dictionary the only words we'll find are "the" "bigger" "the " "better" and "the" "more" "the" "better".

Bangles are the essential accessory to set a defined look, however being very versatile at the same time.

This season, bangles have taken a leap in the fashion "kingdom" and are now at the top of the food chain or more appropiately "accessory chain".

I was walking by Accesorize this aftrenoon and was overwhelmed by the amount of bangles clinging off the walls, all so vastly different! I was most appealed to the new collection the new colours and pattern were all so oriental looking! So i got some research done and found that: Bangles are traditional ornaments worn by Pakistani women and Indian women, especially Hindus.

So, is fashion going back to its roots? Should contempory fashion designers seek new trends by using traditional middle eastern patterns, designs and colour?

Brown, beige and "bamboo-coloured" bangles (being more "discreet") will always give your outfit a boho-chique look. An easy way to achieve a boho look is to go for wooden bangles, they give a modern, high fashion runway look to an everyday outfit, but will also transform into couture accessory when wearing them with a long, flowy hippy chique dresses. Oh, scrumchious!

However, i love clashing bangles with outfits! Mix n' match! Make your bangles stand out by perhaps matching your bangles with a clutch or nail varnish! As this seasons trend is all about colour, if your not 100% convinced by going all out bold, just hint colour by using a colourful bangle! Or two!

Be BOLD

Laura and I laughed when we read this month's Vogue magazine in Portugal. We pretty much covered the main trends for S/S '09. But there was one small detail we failed to mention: colour.

I'm one of those people who'd rather look flattering that look trendy. I suppose it has to do with my not-so-skinny physique, but the truth is I'll only put on a colour that actually suits me. After looking at a couple of runway looks though, I think I may be willing to risk a little bit this season; let's see if I'm not the only one I've managed to convince.

"Bling-Bling"

Metallics- is "bling bling" leaving Mtv Rap Stars necks and making their way onto runways and streets? Yes! Golds, Silvers and Bronzes are blowing away fashion designers, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs are just a few of the big names.

LOUIS VUITTON

Spangle brightened catwalks everywhere, and (for the most part) designers steered clear of the ultra futuristic, bulky intergalactic gaud people have come to associate with metallic finishes and shiny plastics. Instead, they have gone for a luxe look with fluid, light-reflective pieces and a streamlined aesthetic executed with draping, pleating, and bias-cuts.

Be careful to select garments made from high quality fabrics, with flattering cuts. You don't want to appear as if you've constructed your skirt from leftover aluminum foil, and there's nothing like shine to accentuate bulges and other figure flaws, so tread carefully when embracing the trend, and don't be afraid to just say "no" to certain styles if they really don't suit your body or personality.

As a rule of thumb, keep metallic fashions subtle for daytime and professional attire, but feel free to dive into the trend for evening wear and funky occasions.

Go for a totally glamorous look by wearing shiny sequins, satins and lamés, and glossy high-tech fabrics from head to toe.

Even those who shy away from shine must at least invest in a sequined top – if you're feeling adventurous, spring for a trendy fully-sequined little black dress.

RAAWWRRR

Blogging during English class couldn't be more fun. The teacher thinks I'm working on my coursework, when the truth is, I'm on this. The result? A happy teacher and a happy student.

I was window shopping at Mango the other day, and a wave of nostalgia blew me away: animal prints are back. From leopard, to cheetah, even to cow; we are wearing (hopefully fake) skin. After a little research I found these different ways to reminisce and bring back the patterns.

The difference this season lies mainly on the colours used. You're free to mix and match to obtain the perfect outfit.

Primitive Wear

Boho was nice while it lasted, making the gypsy look a little more stylish. Despite thinking that this trend has been long gone, the newer, more ethnic appeal has got me gripped. The patterns have become more defined, filled with bolder colours. Darker bottoms - such as black jeans or opaque tights - have been ruled over by exciting, intricate designs to attract the attention. However decieving it may be to see Lily Donaldson wear this as if she were a butterfly in a cocoon, I'm sure there's something to learn from Gucci's 2009 collection:

Along similar lines follows Cantão, adding a bit more colour. Imagine my pleasure as soon as I saw the masses of earrings, necklaces and braceletes involved! This look is all about being relaxed, having fun, and adding a little of the laid-back attitude...
